Inkwell 'Reckoner' Cab Shiraz 750ml 13.7%
Only 1720 bottles made. Vegan friendly. Sustainably grown in Tatachilla South Australia. Intensely flavoured without the weight found in more common higher alcohol styles. Hand picked, fermented wild and cellared in first class French and American oak barrels. Has visibly improved and evolved in bottle since then. Grown and made by Dudley Brown and Irina santiago-Brown. Single vineyard blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Shiraz.
Tasting notes: Blackberry, natural acidity, chocolate and licorice with a powdery tannin finish. The best of both worlds of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Enjoy with: Smooth and cool enough to enjoy on its own, although would not go astray with duck, roast pork, or rich rosemary and thyme infused roast vegetables with crusty bread and a fresh salad with balsamic vinegar. Follow up with salted caramel ice-cream.
